Subject: Songs that remind you of Autumn/Fall season?

Written By: bookmistress4ever on 09/28/15 at 4:19 am

It's my favorite season, so I was wondering what songs remind you of the fall leaves?

Here are a few for me:

Doris Day - Autumn Leaves

The Eagles - Wasted time

The Eagles " Wasted Time"  was first to my mind.

... and I like Eva Cassidy's live version of " Autumn Leaves". She was the best interpreter. (couldn't make the youtube link work here)  :-\\

One of my favorite songs, actually.

Wow, I agree, I'd never heard of her until now.  Beautiful.

Apparently Van Morrison has done about 5 songs about Autumn (I don't really like any of them, but that's just me.)  Only like a few of his hits like Crazy love, Moondance, Someone like you, Into the mystic and Tupelo Honey.

Thanks Patty ... Eva Cassidy became famous posthumously. She was known in Washington in the early 90's but only came to be known by the wider world 4 years after her death (around 1996 I think). She's one of the best singers I have ever heard.

Kate Bush's "Never Be Mine" always reminds me of autumn for some reason. It doesn't have overtly autumnal imagery or anything, but something about the melancholy sound of it is just "feels" like this time of year to me.

Done! Thank you. :)
Also, I have found that you can click on the YouTube icon and place in between what is displayed in the URL for the YouTube video after the = sign.

For instance:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=otCpCn0l4Wo

For MC Hammer's "U Can't Touch This". Post otCpCn0l4WoI left blanks in the commands so that it can be display here.
