2000s: ages 0-7 (fetus, baby, preschool, kindergarten, first grade, and first semester of 2nd grade.)
2010s: ages 8-17 (second semester of second grade, grades 3-11, and first semester of senior year.)

1990's: I lived 11 months and 19 days in the 90's. :P

2000's: Age 1-10

2010's: Age 11-19 so far, will turn 20 (if I make it) in 2019.

The results are quite unsuprising ;D There are a lot less 80s borns on these boards than I thought though. I shall introduce me too :)

90s: 34 months and exactly a half (so partical to be born the 14th of a 28 days-long month :D)
2000s: age 3-12 (look how nicely my whole childhood fit in this whole decade)

He's trying to deduce the birth years of the voters by using the data.

E.g. you have one person who lived through the 1940s, and two that lived through the 1950s. From this you can see that one person was born in the 1940s (who lived in the 1940s and 1950s) and one was born in the 1950s (who would've lived through the 1950s).

On the poll, for example 1 person voted for the 40s and 2 voted for the 50s. To know how many people were born in the 50s you'd have take the total (2) and substract the ammount that already existed in a previous decade. Here it means: 2(persons that existed in the 50s) - 1(person that was born in the 40s) = 1(person that was born in the 50s)

From there you apply the same for the next decades, 60s: 3(persons that existed in the 60s) - 2(that already existed before the 60s) = 1(born in the 60s)
