They were obsessed with book series Descendents. I'd take them outside with me and my cousins to play Pokémon Go, they were really into it. They wanted Hillary to win the election because she's a girl, and when I asked them if they know who Obama is one of them said "Oh you mean that girl on the Disney Channel?" ;D

I'm sure they'll be nostalgic for that year in the future (or now apparently they're on nostalgia forums :thinking:)

They probably join for similar  reasons other people join. When you’re borderline of turning 13, you kind of experiment a little and go out to see what interests you. I did that when I was borderline of turning 13 but I didn’t join a forum or anything, but I’ve actually been on forums as early as age 10 when I was in the sims community, but I never gave out my age. ;D

They probably join for similar  reasons other people join. When you’re borderline of turning 13, you kind of experiment a little and go out to see what interests you. I did that when I was borderline of turning 13 but I didn’t join a forum or anything, but I’ve actually been on forums as early as age 10 when I was in the sims community, but I never gave out my age. ;D

What I don't get is how younger and younger kids find out about sites like InThe00s and Personality Cafe. I'm not just talking about her, but I'm also talking about cooldudez and SkittlesCat who were 9 and 12 when they joined PerC and InThe00s last year.

SharksFan99 and NewYorkEagle joined PerC and InThe00s when they were 15 or 16, and so did I, I joined in August. I'm still a young individual in comparison to anyone who's only a few years older than me but comes on, I didn't join when I was on the borderline of turning 13.
That's because anyone is able to access any site at any time on any device anywhere. 10 years ago, that wasn't the case since one would only be able to access a site on a computer with broadband internet. In addition, kids were generally not online compared to now. They would mainly still do typical childhood things.

At least none of these kids are potentially young enough to be your child. I have kids that went to school with me that have kids around that age.

I didn't think people so young would be joining so soon. The youngest person on here was NewYorkEagle by a good bit, but generally the youngest people here were born 1996 or thereabouts. I didn't think 2005 borns would be coming in for another decade. Kind of fascinating how quickly things changed :o

Well, those sites are more than just that. Inthe00s is mainly about pop culture and PersonalityCafe has a variety of topics. So do other forums.

Yeah, but those phones along with the Sidekicks and HTCs were expensive compared the flip or slide ones. Very few people had one of those so accessing the internet on those phones were awful. It would have been better on a computer anyway.

Yeah, for a while 1999 was pretty much the youngest kids. For what it's worth, 2004 borns just seem so much younger to me than 1999, even though the gap is not actually that long. Most likely that's because 1999 borns were born when I was still a young 12 year old myself, whereas 2004 kids were born after I had almost finished my senior year.

That's so young. I have little sisters born around then and they're still kids. They're like my daughters to me in many ways, I drive them places, pack their lunches, buy them toys and games on my credit card etc.

We were still kids at the same time for like 2 years and while we are still close, I always felt we sadly don't connect as much as other siblings born very closely to eachother would :(

Yeah, I recieved an iPad in 2011 and I remember even back then browsing on the internet was still a hassle. One of the main reasons was that Flash was still widely used so a lot of sites were rendered unusable. Glad that crap dies out in 2 years!

People born in 2005 take care of their health, sleep, drink water, eat, breathe, clean, and brush their teeth  just like people born in any other year do.

No, I have two brothers, born in 1994 and 1995, and then my twin sisters were born in 2005.

I do have a very close relation with my 1994 brother, but my youngest brother not so much; our personalities are diametrically opposed. ;D Well, we get along well now, but we keep a certain distance. :P

I get what you mean about the large age gap. I'm close with my sisters obviously, but you can't have a very high level conversation with someone that young ???

Hopefully when they grow older though you'll be more close. ;)
