Argh, it has come to me attention that scallywags and landlubbers aboard the ship known as inthe00s have a fancy for decadeology, both for the past that gone away with the sunsets, and the future waters over the horizon.

They say the 50s was the beatnik decade, 60s was the hippie decade, 70s was the funk decade, 80s was the glam decade, 90s was the grunge decade, 00s was the emo decade, and the 10s are the hipster's decade, so what form of pop culture comes on our horizon, laddies and lasses?

I've got the answer here. The 2020s will be pirate themed, mateys! Argh, that's right, them lads and lassies shall dress like Blackbeard, pillaging pubs shall be trendy, Pirates of the Caribbean gets a TV series, and Alestorm will be the Nirvana of the 2020s! Argh!

Actually, the first thread I made on this site was called 2000's Pirate Craze, everyone thought I was talking about Internet pirates. ;D But I meant actual sea pirates like this, it seemed relatively popular to me from 2003-07 because of Pirates of the Caribbean among other things, it just seemed that way to me. :P

It'd honestly be super crazy if maything like this ever happened though, honestly hard to imagine, I do love pirate themed things though.

Yeah, I mentioned some in my thread, I love Sid Meier's Pirates and the 2003 Pirates of the Caribbean RPG (which seems to be super unknown despite having the big franchise name attached to it). Age of Pirates: City of Abandoned Ships is pretty enjoyable too, I got that last year on my PC.

You're extremely late. Early 2020's culture started with hurricane Katrina in 2005. I remember when that hurricane was happening everyone decided to dress as pirates and make their ships and everyone sailed on the floods.
