Subject: Late 80s / Early 90s babies

Written By: piecesof93 on 05/04/18 at 7:30 pm

Can you believe that people born in the late 80s / early 90s are pushing 30 and 30+?  It is surreal to me. I remember when this cohort were the youth, now they're entering (true) adulthood. Now the torch is being passed to the next generation.

I was inspired to make this thread because, if I recall correctly, Chris Brown's bday is tomorrow. I can't stand the guy now but I remember when he was just 16 years old and I was still in middle school. I loved him then. Now he's gonna be 30. Seriously, where did the time go?

He was born in 1989.

Yeah, I remember when Chris Brown was on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody (the episode "Doin' Time in Suite 2330") and he was just a happy-go-lucky teenager.

That Suite Life episode is going to turn 10 years old on August 9th and that's crazy to me. It was just the other day that I watched that episode. Time goes by really fast.

The majority of 80's babies being in their mid 30's is already crazy enough for me, but just wait until 1990 born's hit 30 in 2 years. That's going to be insane considering that I remember when they were still kids (not even teens yet). They were seniors in high school throughout my first year in middle school.

I cant believe how fast time flies I remember when the majority of 80s born's were still under 12. It's even more insane to me  that those born in 1980 will soon be 40 and that the 80s in the 2020s will be as old as the 60s were in the 2000s.  :o

'87ers like me turning 31 is freaking me out a bit but I'm cool with it. Just think how like someone born in 1987 was only 13 or 14 years (the age of someone born in 2004 today) on 9/11 and realize how they're turning 31 now and can have preteen or early teen kids even, it gets a bit scary when you think about that doesn't it? I've been on here a long time so it's kinda hitting me. I mean someone born in '87 was barely above being a child in say 2001 or something, now they are truly grown adults if you know what I mean.

Still think the 60s becoming as old as the 40s in the 2000s is even worse of a thought. A time of the great world war that felt extremely distant from me when I was a kid :-\\.

What about in just 1 and a half years when 2000 babies enter their 20s?

The 60s will be as distant from the 2020s as they are from the 1900s decade.

I turned 16 couple months ago. Enjoy your last full month of childhood.

I just turned 14 and being 13 was fun, make sure you enjoy being 13 as much as you can.

I swear I ain't gettin' old! I just turned 18 yesterday, right?  :\'(  I crossed out "1990" and wrote "2000" as my birthyear so that way I don't have to be 30.  8) I'm a Genius! I ain't becoming an old fogy today, guys.  8)

Currently looking into altering my birth certificate. Soon everything will fall into place. 8)

This is something that's been on my mind to. My 92 born cousin is in his mid 20s now, it seems like a while ago he was dropping me off to the middle school while he hurry up and get to the high school.
