Are you including the actors that played James Bond on the radio and television too?

Barry Nelson, who the first actor to play James Bond on telrvision screen, in a 1954 adaptation of Ian Fleming's novel Casino Royale on the television anthology series Climax! (preceding Sean Connery's interpretation in Dr. No by eight years)

Bob Holiness, actor and television presenter, became the first actor to portray James Bond in a radio production of Moonraker for the SABC's Springbok Radio in 1955.

...and the many that played a James Bond in the 1967 "Casino Royale"?

For my favourite James Bond please refer to my reply here http://www.inthe00s.com/index.php?topic=38930.0

I pretty much enjoyed them all.  I think the character should be charming, skilled and ruthless...

I won't include the original Casino Royal movie (from the 60s)

1. Connery  (the epitome of the Bond character)
2. Craig  (surprised me ... more ruthless than expected)
3. Brosnan (made a good enough fist of the role)
4. Dalton  (actually didn't much like him in the role ... but he also was ruthless)
5. Lazenby (played it the same as Connery ... except didn't quite have the same charm)
6. Moore  (again ... I enjoyed him in the role ... but he became almost too cliched and camp)

...I always considered Roger Moore to be the worse James Bond, but I did not want to say it to him.

Then you should retitle this poll "Favourite EON James Bond" because I liked David Niven's performance in 'Casino Royale', the movie which was based on the book by Ian Flemming, who created James Bond

...and pretending to be James Bond, Peter Sellers, with Woody Allen as Jimmy Bond, in fact
