Subject: Time Periods

Written By: oldmusicfan on 03/14/20 at 10:08 pm

How do you see a time period? Are time periods building blocks to the next time period? Is the rest of a time period filler after we spend time in the first year of any period? Is the whole time period important?

Substitute decade for time period, if you feel time periods should be labeled as decades.

I find that "time periods" is just another term for "decades". It means the same thing. I would add "era" into the same terminology as well.

For me 'time periods' are of any length of time, an 'era' is a long and distinct period of history, and decade is a time period of a duration of ten years.

How can we be sure that every time period is a duration of ten years?

Time periods are of any length of time, and a decade is precisely ten years,

You said earlier that a decade is a time period is a duration of ten years. What are some examples of a time period?

How do you look at decades?
At my age, I see decades as time passing by.

What’s your favorite part of any decade and least favorite part?

I have no favorite part of any year or decade, for me it is good when you are blessed with God's Gracious Gift of being alive.

You’re not frustrated by the earliest part of an era like many users are in the “Will the 2020s start late culturally?” thread?  ???
