Does anyone look at decades like sliding pictures? Take the 1980s for example. At first, there was the 70s/80s (shows like The Love Boat and The Jeffersons were on the air) but overtime, it became the 70s/80s/90s (The Love Boat was on during a part of the original run for MacGyver). Lastly, the 80s became the 80s/90s (MacGyver and Married With Children).
How do you see decades?

I see it similar to astrology. Core characteristics along with cusps.

Like what compromised the middle of the decade.

But there aren’t really core characteristics to a decade. The middle of the decade is when the decade is going through an identity crisis.

I think of the beginning and end of the decade that way. But not a crisis. Just influences from the neighboring decade. Just like astrology on the cusp.

Perhaps, the whole decade is in a cusp.
