We’re already getting 2000s nostalgia from Gen Z

The 2010s is too recent

Maybe by the time it's time for 2010s nostalgia people might not be doing the nostalgia thing anymore. It might be out of fashion. That would be odd because it would make the people who were still into nostalgia for the sake of it be nostalgic for the time when there was nostalgia. It could happen!

I mean doesn’t everybody once they reach middle age miss they’re younger years or at least reminisce it and express they’re longing through art. Which nowadays comes in the form of movies and tv shows  ring created by people who loved those eras

The original question is "which decade will receive more nostalgia, the 2000s or the 2010s?". By your theory then, both decades would receive equal nostalgia because whoever was young during each decade would become nostalgic for their respective eras once they reached middle age. The original question somehow presupposes that there can be an imbalance and one could receive more nostalgia than the other. How do we square this with your theory?

Well I guess you can ask people on the street or make questionnaires like buzzfeed has done towards the 80s and 90s in which decade they prefer the most as this is very subjective for the most part. Since the question is asking which decade will get the most praise and admiration in the decades to come, and how will we measure which decade is the best.

There is no correct answer as it depends what material or source from either decade is used and depending on what trends pop up in the future that can trigger nostalgia for either one of these decades. The point of the matter is both decades will be far enough from society to view them as dated and they’re culture as somewhat different, from the future present.

There is a certain bias right now for early-mid 2000s nostalgia that wasn’t even a thought for most of the 2010s, who’s to say the same can’t happen for the 2010s either.

Nostalgia will always be a thing, the thing for what people are nostalgic for always changes as time moves on, that’s just human nature

I think the 2010s were awful but a lot of kids and teens are going to have nostalgia for it because of stuff like marvel movies.
