It's been raining steadily for over 24 hrs now, we had a tornado warning this morning and one was sighted about 5 miles from my work!  We opened up the blinds for a better look, but didn't see it.  It was a treacherous drive in this morning, but I just try to remember that if it keeps raining like this now, we won't have a fireworks ban on Saturday...

There was a tornado in Western,NY yesterday.
The National Weather Service says a tornado with wind speeds as high as 110 mph touched down in Corfu, about 30 miles east of Buffalo, at 4:53 p.m. Saturday. The tornado's path was four miles long and 100 yards wide, and spread from Corfu to Darien, around four miles to the southeast, the weather service reported.

It damaged several buildings and knocked down trees. Nearly 1,000 households remained without power late Saturday.

No injuries were reported.
My daughter & boyfriend were 5 miles  away at Darien Lake theme park.
