Because it's pretty useless, to be honest.  I mean, all it does is bold the names of certain people when they're online.  I know who my friends are here and who isn't, so I don't really need it.  I just filled it out because I hadn't done it when I first registered. 


That and I don't update it frequently enough so there's quite a few people I consider friends that aren't on the list, and that makes me feel bad....so I'm just getting rid of it.  That way everyone is on an equal standing.

I know what you mean.  For me, the bold names get confusing when you see Chucky's name in red, and all the SBM's in Green.  Every name should be in black

I would assume that the only way someone would know whose buddy list they're on is if they are told outright or if it's posted in this thread.

I try to tell them, as soon as they are added.

If not, 's OK, too.

Ummm, it highlights in bold your buddies that are online at the bottom of the main page.  So you don't need to physically check your list to see who's online.  You just look for the bolded names.  REAL easy.

Members here are on my buddy list.  I didn't put people from other message boards on it.

Some people wonder why there is even such a thing as a "buddy list" on here.

After all, it's either an antiquated idea, and should be removed (just like celebrating holidays in school),
or it's a tool for arguments and detructive behavior.

When people defend this thing, they get sneered at, mocked, or otheriwse dogged on for it.
If someone pulls a Simon Cowell, on the other hand, then they get tagged on. (Of course, they usually don't care, because they are who they are, and by Gaud, no one else's opinion matter. Just as Garth Brooks!)

I, for one, enjoy having a "buddy list", and if that makes me a candidate for Dr. Phil, then so be it!

I still don't officially have a buddy list. I just figure , when I'm here, you're all my buddies !  ;D

Yes ........ you are right. This one does not differentiate between 'Core buddies' ........ and 'peripheral buddies' ......... but these are the MAJORITY of people I seem to hit it off with .......... on a 'semi-regular' basis. Some others, not yet added ....... are under 'the eye' ....... and may be added. I would prefer to be adding .......... then deleting (for sure) !    8)


But in the REAL world ............. well ........... you're never gonna hit it off with EVERY body !    :-X    :(    8)

when Sami first started posting I thought TM had come back... there was the stuff about ag and then the fact that they shared the same first name....and have a similar sense of humor... I was wrong but if TM were back we'd have twice the fun with both of them online!
