There's a Subway ad for their new slow roasted pork sandwich where there are 2 guys having lunch and one of the guys asks the other if he can try a bite of his new slow roasted pork sandwich.  His friend says OK, so the guy opens his mouth and his "bite" takes most of the sandwich.  Then the announcer says something like "And it's good that it's only $1.99".  And the piggy guy keeps saying how good the sandwich is, while the other guy is staring at what is left of the sandwich. 

For some reason, this one irritates the heck outta me.

One of my BIGGEST pet-peeves is eating with a "loud" eater or someone who chews with their mouth open......... and these commercials seem to think that if you can hear someone enjoying their food, you'll buy it. DISGUSTING!

I just saw a commercial that the NCAA is running...it shows a coach preparing his team for a game. Suddenly, he talks about respecting the other team as well....the commercial deals with sportsmanship which is nice but kinda unrealistic with all the crap that is happening with the constant taunting that some thugs always feel the need to do ::)

Every year, around election time, we always see ads telling you to vote yes on a certain proposition, and others telling you to vote no on that same proposition. I hate some of those commercials (especially those that oppose a measure that I support, and vice-versa). They will all be gone after Election Day. :-X

What's wrong with Subway? They're a nice alternative to the standard fast-food out there. But I do agree about their commercials being bad. It's sad that we all have to watch endless commercials featuring a guy whose only achievement in life was losing a few pounds.

My problem with most fast food isn't that it's bad for you, it's that it's just bad in general.  Subway is totally bland.  I still want to see the "Supersize Me" movie about the guy who lived on nothing but McD's for a month.  Remember the lawsuit by the kid in NYC who ate at McD's twice a day since he was six.  He was 15, 5'6" and weighted four hundred and change!

I never eat anything from McDonalds except for maybe the breakfast foods. In the early 1990s I ate breakfast there every other Sunday for a while. In fact, I don't think I've had anything from McDonalds in the last 10 years, except maybe a milkshake or soda. But that's all.

And you know television ads tend to reflect the audience of the television show they run on and even the time of day has an effect, too.

The commercial I hated the most was one for Nestle Nesquik with the bunny.  kids were playing baseball in a lot and the ball goes over (or under?) the fence.  "Not the witch's house."  Then one brave kid goes up to the door which an old woman answers (the witch).  But when she invites him in for a glass of Nesquik, he realizes she is not so bad and GOES INTO HER HOUSE.  With all of the attempted child abductions, the last thing kids need to see is that if someone offers something you like, it's okay to follow them into their house.  I was SOOOOOOO angry over that that I wrote the company a letter.  I received a response - they were sorry that I was upset.  They didn't think there was anything wrong with it!  I still have not purchased any Nestle products since then.  Probably been about ten years.  >:(

I can't stand the current Ford commercials. They use annoying couuntry music to advertise their cars now. Every time one comes on, I mute it. The first one I saw aired last Friday night when I was watching "Jeopardy".

The local car dealerships are annoying the crap out of me, now. First it was the awful lip-sync-ers from Honda West. And the bad acting from washed up Marvin Johnson and Vince Gainey at Eastgate Crysler. Then the Burds from Burd Ford gave me a headache (though the wife Chris is a looker). Now the stupid cartoon-mascot man from Blossom Chevrolet threatens to ruin my Holidays by doing the"Hokey Pokey". Aren't there any dealers that just want to sell cars and not try to entertain? >:(

Agree on the "cheesiness" of furniture commercials.  When I still lived in Tennessee, there was one particular furniture store (the name escapes me) commercial that featured one of those "Crazy _____" kinda fellas who sang a jingle to the tune of Gilligan's Island & the Macarena...  I do not recall the entire jingle but one line was "negotiate your own best deal...we're goin' low and how" (this was to the tune of the Gilligan's Island theme.  And the commercial ended with "negotiate...negotiate... Hey liquidation" (to the tune of macarena...complete with hand motions).  ;D
