Hmmmm... Let's review.  This was submitted by Zella:

Let Your Yeah Be Yeah
I'm the Leader of the Gang
Kings of the Party

(I am deliberately leaving out the 'hit' - hee hee)

and this was Paul's response:

Possibly 'Brownsville Station'...?

(The first two were 'covers' by them, I'm not sure about the third...)

Is this right?  Inquiring minds want to know!

Yep! That was correct! :)

L.T.D. - (Every Time I Turn Around) Back In Love Again, a favorite funky Disco tune of mine
Floaters - their 1977 smash, "Float On"
Me and Mrs. Jones - Billy Paul, around 1973 or so
Patches - I think it was Clarence Carter but not 100% on that one

Thanks, I knew the first two...I especially liked "Float On".
Remember they all said their names and astrology signs?  One guy's name was Larry, but I don't remember the others.  The song reminds me of skipping school with my friend at her house, drinking coffee and smoking cigarettes.  It would come on the radio and we would both sing to it and other funk songs.

The other two I didn't know, but I really like Me and Mr Jones...I wonder if he sang any other good songs.

Patches, I didn't care for, but I heard it allot!

Ah! That was the red herring!

Three Dog Night did indeed record 'The Show Must Go On', but this artist is better known to you good American folk for a couple of other big hits, which are (strangely enough) not included here!

But one of the above was a US hit...
