Yesterday the cat started in at 2:30 in the morning.  >:(  Partly my fault because I forgot to make sure that the food dish was full before going to bed. Last night, it was a combination of heartburn and hubby's snoring. Two days of not sleeping well is paying a toll on my today. Oh yeah, the cat didn't bother me at all last night. That'd scare me more than killing people, I have an intense dislike for bright colors and harmless fun. Fun should harm, that's why it's fun.

a weird dream I had.

I was on some sort of boat (very odd boat with the front shaped like a sofa so that I was sitting on this with my feet in the water) and we were going across an aqueduct.  Some boys (my son included) were swimming in front of us.  Although we were on the aqueduct I 'knew' it was the sea we were on and it was really deep.  It ended with me getting cross with my son because he was fooling about with his swimming trunks and kept taking them off.  I knew he would drop them, he did drop them and tried to dive under to fetch them back.  But he didn't surface and the boat kept moving forward so it was going to go over where I'd last seen him.  That was when I woke up

Yeah I like this artist's work, his name is Rob Gonsalves and he's a surrealist painter.  It kind of has that more modern M. C. Escher feel to him.

There is another of his paintings I adore called "The Library"

I know what you mean, I am the same way.  I need to take something to help me sleep (although I try to just tough it out most of the time) but when I simply can't go any longer without sleep, I will take a Melatonin.  Although the next day, it takes me awhile to get it out of my system.  There should be a happy medium somewhere (ah heck maybe Patricia Arquette *is* happy, who knows?  lol)  See?  Bad pun alert.

What woke me up today?  Heaven knows!  I think it was the kitchen light being on.  Or maybe I just like to sleep deprive myself for fun.

Mine has done that, too-after her efforts to wake me up has failed.

Today, she didn't wake me up.  :o :o :o  However, at about 2-2:30, Carlos woke me up by yelling, "Oh sh!t". I said, "What?" He then went on to say how he forgot that someone (can't remember the name) was running and that he was going to be in the debate. (This was after watching the debate last night.) Yes, he was dreaming and didn't even remember it this morning. I am terrible, whenever he starts talking in his sleep, I talk back to him to get him to talk more.  :D ;D ;D  However, last night, I really didn't last too long at trying to get him to talk more because I fell back asleep.

I fell asleep with a headache on the couch, and woke up with a cat on my chest.!  She was kneading my jugular veins with her little bitty clawfree paws.  It actually kinda hurt but it was so darned cute, that I let her do it for awhile before I chased her off of me.  And that is what woke me up today.

Now I'm going back to sleep.  Verrrrry sleepy.

This morning (proper) it was my alarm clock - damn that thing is loud!

This kind of reminds me of my daughters.  They even argue in their sleep. ;D  The other night when they were both sleeping I decided to move my daughter Brooke who had slipped off her pillow.  She must have thought I was her sister because she said, "Stop it, Clarissa!"  Clarissa heard this and in her sleep said, "I'm not!"  I was laughing...quietly.

^ You have my complete sympathy here, as I'm in the same boat, as I've said previously. Am expecting the nearby (200 yards? )Doberman's barking to penetrate my 'white noise' defences yet again. I reckon they must go away at the weekends, and leave it on its own as a 'guard dog' / to protect their property. Stuff the dog/ stuff the neighbours! A completely 'me me Me' selfish attitude .... people like that should NOT be allowed to own pets. It's very hard for me to do anything about either. Even if I can manage to get a local ranger to come around ... which is a feat in itself ... , odds are it will not be barking when they arrive ... even though it often carries on for close to a minute 4 or 5 times an hour. Totally frustrating/nerve racking/annoying as hell (anywhere from around 8am to 10.30pm) .. and this has been going on for several years now!  >:( >:( >:(

I woke up at about 4:00 this morning shivering, so I reached down to the bottom of the bed to pull up the comforter.  I guess I tried to lay back down the wrong way, because before I knew it, I was sliding head first out of bed.  I layed on the floor just stunned for a minute, and then I heard my husband say "did you just fall out of bed?"  I said "yes," and we both laughed for a good 10 minutes before I got back in.  ;D

No.  I couldn't even figure out what happened for a minute...and once I did I thought it was pretty funny.

When she goes to bed, it is usually in her "kitty kondo" (her carrier). But she wakes up early and decides that she is lonely and want attention. So, she comes to curl up with me. Just about every morning when I wake up, she is at my feet sleeping. But, if her food dish is empty, then she just wakes me up. This morning, her food dish wasn't empty so she just curled up. The other has decided that my dirty clothes basket makes a great bed. She will curl up with me right after the light is turned off and after a few minutes, will go to the basket. Like the other one, she will wake me up when the food dish is empty.

At about 3 a.m. I had to go pee. Then I couldn't get back to sleep because of the heat. I finally did close to 6. Then after Hubby got up, the cat curled up on my neck (yeah, the food dish was empty) and then the phone rang. Hubby finally filled up the food dish but by then it was too late-I was already awake.

I had a fur ball curl up on my neck purring in my ear (yeah, the food dish was VERY low). The last year or so, I didn't mind this too much but she is getting bigger and now when she curls up, she covers my face so I can't breath.  :o

Yeah, doggie breath is pretty bad but at least he was smart enough to wake me when he had to go.  ;D

I remember when Hunter was a baby, he was sleeping in this little seat I had for him and my cat must have thought it looked really comfy, so she curled up right on top of him, of course I removed her quickly because she weighed more than him and probably would have smothered him.
